Animal Hour
Here at Wheelbirks Farm we are passionate about understanding and caring for all of our animals.
Over the Easter school holidays we are holding sessions for children to meet and feed our baby lambs, feed the free-range chickens, and collect their eggs. Stroke, feed & groom our loveable donkeys Hamish and Dougie.
We will also show the children the shed (or field depending on the weather) where the cows and their calves live together.
£15.95 per child (sessions last 1 hour)
This activity will be held twice a day at 11am and 3pm and last 1 hour on the following dates:

Thursday 17th April 2025
Saturday 19th April 2025
Tuesday 22nd April 2025
Wednesday 23rd April 2025
Saturday 26th April 2025
This is a wonderful opportunity for children who love animals to have a hands-on experience, whilst learning about our resident much loved animals and how we care for them!
BOOKING ESSENTIAL
Tickets are available to book below, we anticipate this event will book up quickly, so don't delay!
If your child has any additional needs, please contact the parlour PRIOR to booking as we can then arrange specific time slots with additional staffing support.
Parents/Carers must stay in the Parlour throughout the 1 hour session. Parents do not accompany the children on the animal hour but are able to see the children carry out some of the animal activities from viewing areas. Children attending need to wear suitable clothing for the activity including wellies.
This activity will take place whatever the weather.
On arrival parents will be asked to sign a disclaimer- as although the animals the children will be meeting and caring for are well handled and friendly - animals can of course be unpredictable.
Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can sign your child in for the session!
🐑 IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🐑
Children under the age of 6yrs CANNOT take part in the event for safety reasons. No refunds are given. If you need to make any additional changes to your booking there will be a £5 admin fee charge.
